Last Day of School!!! Whoo Hooo!

Caleb and Elliot completed the school year this past Friday and boy were they happy about it!!!Caleb had an awards ceremony at school on Friday morning and after that was complete I think almost every child in the school was checked out. Well, since this is my blog I of course have to brag on Caleb. The picture below is of him receiving one, yes I said one of the awards on Friday. Caleb did receive two awards and he was so surprised at this. I only got one picture of him on stage because I was not expecting him to receive anything. Okay, I am sure that just sounded extremely bad but we have had a very difficult year playing catch up from Rector and the teacher they started the year with was awful. So, whoo hooo Caleb!!!!

Caleb received two awards: Most Improved Math and Most Improved Literacy Awards!I am sure I have mentioned before that this school year was very difficult. We started out the year with a more than difficult teacher who then started having medical problems, bless her heart, than she took a leave of absence (whoo hoo) and we then finished the year with this amazing lady in the picture above. This is Mrs. Ezell and Caleb loved her so much. We were so blessed to have her for the remaining part of the year. She is too cute also, check out Caleb is almost to her shoulders!!! I wish we could pack her up and take her with us next year.
Today, is only day one of summer break and Caleb is already gone to the lake with friends. I have a feeling he will be a busy boy this summer, next week is football camp and tutoring will start the following week. Also, please keep Caleb in your prayers he is really trying hard to catch up this summer on his reading skills and wants to be a confident reader in the fall. He plans on working so hard. Also, Caleb is wanting to try out for baseball All-Stars in two weeks. They take it very serious here and I am very nervous about him trying out. I hope he does well because I know if he does not make it, it will break his little heart!
Next post..... Beaux Lightning Jacobs....hmmmmm

Please check this out... AMAZING!!!

Okay, so I decided to take a break from folding clothes and checked out a fellow bloggers page and she had this amazing video and a story regarding Kris Allen witnessing to Adam during the American Idol process. I will shorten the story but a friend of hers mothers works with Kris's mom and said Kris wished he would have had a little more time with Adam because he had really been sharing his heart with him and telling God's story. This is amazing and this is why America chose Kris as "Our American Idol."
Thanks Kelly for this amazing story. Please click on the URL below, sorry I do not know how to place the video on my blog yet! I am new so sorry!

American Idol: Kris and Katy

Okay, most of you know I love Kris Allen and Elliot and I were Team Kris all the way!! So, this blog is devoted to him and his precious wife, Katy. I decided today to post a picture of his sweet wife because I think we all need to keep them in mind in the next few months as their lives will completely change. I know many of you are married that read this so, think back to your first year of marriage or months of marriage? Do you remember how at times it can be very difficult?
Well, this is why I think many of us should pray for the Allens' as they go through this time (they have only married 7 months) in their lives. I am so thankful that they have openly expressed their relationship with God and have given their marriage to him also. I am sure they are being pulled in so many directions and if we can just pray for them and give them the strength to stay strong with their faith and to always keep each other first!
And, again Whooo Hooo Kris Allen!

Catch Up!

I have been behind these days on posts... all of the American Idol stuff just really had me slacking in the blogging department. Moreon Kris Allen later...

Today I decided to download the pictures I have on my camera so this post will be FULL...

So, we moved! We are finally in and getting settled still have a few boxes to unpack so hopefully with this four day weekend we can get some things accomplished.

While moving out of our apartment I was packing and turned around to this...

Cannon figured out how to open the dishwasher and then climb on top of the door. He could not figure out how to get down though? hmmmm...

I just had to share this precious picture of Cannon Ty and Elliot. We went swimming and he hates cold water so he clung to Elliot the entire time. So sweet!

Caleb and Elliot offically have only 5 days of school remaining! Whooo Hooo! They are both so pumped! They will spend the summer together at home and the majority of the time at football practice and football camps! Caleb's baseball team has been playing games each week, well I guess you could say when the rain has stopped! They are playing well, Caleb has hit the ball everytime at bat and is playing infield very well. He is really enjoying and he has decided he wants to play in the fall. Here are a few pictures of Caleb playing ball.

Caleb looks so cute!!! I just can not believe he is completeing the first grade next week! Watch out 2nd grade! Love you buddy!

Mother's Day was wonderful this year and we had a great weekend. Caleb made me this sweetest card and bookmark at school this year. I cried and cried while reading the card, it was very sweet and it made me realize how old he has gotten and the details he pays attention to.

Thank you Caleb for also taking this picture of me and my mother's day gift. He told me I had to have my picture taken with my gift because I take pictures of him everytime he gets something. Too funny!

Well, I have plenty to blog about tomorrow... ummm KRIS ALLEN and some pics of our house!

oh, kris allen

Lovin' Kris Allen!!!!
I tend to make posts about things I am majorly diggin at the moment or lovin and this is it ( the guy above)! Elliot and I are usually not big American Idol watchers but this year oh my have we changed!
Okay, first let me vent...
I absolutely can not stand to look at Adam it just completely grosses me out, Danny's scream last week just ruined my ears but oh kris allen he is wonderful!
I have illegally downloaded his songs off of limewire, please do not tell, and I am completely ready for Tuesday night to get here. Oh, and I have DVR'd all Krist Allen coverage on the local Fox news! Can you say getting stalker mode?
Oh, and Friday Autumn and I were in Conway yes we honked and flashed (nope not what you think) our lights at his motorcade! If I had been in close proximity I am sure I would have behaved like a 14 year old middle school girl!
So, I do think Adam will be in the final two-not because I like him but others are just head over heals for him??? Who knows? Hopefully we will see Kris make it to the final two... and maybe win the whole shabang! I would be peeing in my pants! And, oh Coach Jacobs would definately be buying me tickets to a concert some time soon! Well, have a great week! Go Kris!Arkansas is lovin' ya!

Wild Monday...

Today was a day that I wished I was standing atop of Pinnacle Mountain taking in the view. We love to go to Pinnacle and just enjoy everything about it, the view, the people and the freedom. After leaving Pinnacle and riding in the car I always feel a sense of freedom like I can tackle the week and cross everything off my list for the week to come. Well, needless to say I need to hike Pinnacle sometime soon...we have been so busy with the move, unpacking and our everyday life I feel as if I will never get organized again. Again, I hate to say this already but, "Can Friday possible hurry up?"

Cannon's Parties...

Cannon tore open his sandwich and attacked it! Birthday dinner in daddy's office.
Cannon and his new shades he got for his birthday!

Cannon Ty and his first baseball glove and ball! He loves it but he throws both of them????

This is Cannon and our God sent babysitter, Carla. We love her to death and so does Cannon Ty! She spoiled him for his birthday!

Cannon loves his cupcakes at Ms. Carla's house. He ate his before any of the other kids, two bites and that thing was gone!

Carla and the kids singing to Cannon Ty

Nana (momma Kathy) came to visit Cannon the weekend before his birthday! This is on Easter Sunday before we went to church.

Cannon Ty and his cake at Larry's Pizza( his favorite)!

Cannon Ty and mommy-of course he is not looking! He is thinking how can I attack this cake?

The birthday boy and his precious hat! He hated it~
Well, I know this pictures have taken me forever to post, but we have been moving!(pic to come very soon) Cannon Ty had multiple gathering for his 1st birthday this year. We started out the weekend before with Nana and Norman coming from Alabama to visit us for the weekend. It was wonderful we had a great time and hated to see them have to go home! We went to Larry's Pizza for lunch and Autumn and Brandon came to party with us! They got Cannon the cutest swim suit for this summer. Oh, and of course they brought Easter goodie bags for the boys! Cannon had a party with his friends at Ms. Carla's(his babysitter) they had cupcakes and opened presents! They were all so excitied about Cannon turning one, they kept singing , "Happy Birthday," over and over! Fun! The night of Cannon's real b-day daddy had to work late on spring football stuff so we had b-day dinner and opening presents in daddy's office. I am sure this will not be the last bday celebrated in the football office, but that is okay with us!
Well, as you can see April was extremely busy for us and May is not looking to slow down at all either. I am going to take picutes of the house soon and get those posted! We are loving our home and we can't wait for the weather to stop pouring rain and give us some time outside in our wonderful yard.

Happy Anniversay Honey

Happy Anniversary Love! I know this is not the greatest picture of my amazing husband but it is one of my favorites because it is of him in action (coaching).

Elliot and I have been together for over 10 years-sounds crazy huh? I am so thankful God has given me such a loving husband, best friend and father to my boys. This man is so strong and genuine, seriously! If it was not for him and his trust in the Lord I know I would not be where I am now. He has carried our family on his back at many times and he has given me hope when there was none to have. I still look at him today as I did our sophomore year in English class when he wanted to borrow a pencil-hehe. We continue to laugh daily and love always; keeping our family in Gods hands. So, today as we celebrate our anniversary it brings back so many amazing memories; our wedding, births of our two boys and watching Elliot through his career. Elliot you amaze me everyday and if feels like that day I first saw you in English class! I love you! And, of course thank you for my amazing chocolate pearls! They are beautiful!
