Destin 2009

Our Destin vacation was wonderful this year, it was a well needed trip and we enjoyed very much.We were able to spend some much needed time with Momma Kathy (EJ's mom) and I loved it, it actually made me miss her so much and praying that we would live near to her again. She lives in south Alabama in the town she grew up in, Linden, and she loves it there!!! We stayed at Sandpiper Cove and it was very nice, it had great pools and the beach was beyond amazing. We usually go to Gulf Shores every summer but from now on we will be staying in Destin! Just beautiful! Thank you Lord !!!

Caleb and Cannon Ty had a great time, we were nervous about Cannon Ty but he rolled, threw and ate sand so I think he had fun!!!! Caleb made an awesome friend while we were there; the little boy and his family had just found out that he was in remission from his cancer-I can't remember what type of cancer but his Mom said it was very rare especially in children. It was an amazing way to praise God while on vacation. We will continue to pray for Ryan and his family throughout the year.

During our trip we had amazing seafood, Elliot and I ate it at every meal if it was possible. Momma Kathy and Norman boiled Alabama gulf shrimp and made Gumbo twice just amazing. Elliot and I ate on AJ's Oyster House-GREAT-we had oysters, crab claws and crab legs Whoooo Hoooo!! Loved it!

We took lots of pictures so I only posted a few tonight-more to come soon! I promise! Also, I will post later about this awful week I had. Enjoy the pictures!!!!
And, we are still finding sand brought back all the way from Destin, Fl to Bryant, AR!!

My favorite pic of Cannon Ty and I

My big man Cannon Ty-1st day at the beach

He was yelling at the boys

Caleb was hanging his head out of the window of the car and waving at people with his mask on. We were very close to Destin, so I think he was getting a little excitied!!!

Destin Vacay

I am in desperate need of a vacay (vacation) and it just so happens we are leaving in counting five days... yes please count them 5 days. This year we are going to a new spot, usually each summer we hit Gulf Shores, AL with Momma Kathy (EJ's mom-just love her absolutely wonderful momma), but this year we thought it was time for a change so.... DESTIN, FL here we come!!!!! Whoo Hooo! We are so pumped and we are getting everything packed this weekend so we will be ready before the week gets crazy. We are heading out of the big LR on Wednesday at 12:00, not 12:05 but yes on the dot 12:00!!!!

We usually always stay in a condo but this year Momma Kathy hooked us up with a house in Kokomo Kove in Destin!!!! Another Whooo Hooo is in order!!! Here is a pic of the cutest cottage house we are staying in.
Here is our entrance to the beach...

I will now change the subject, poor little Cannon Ty is sick. Mrs. Carla his babysitter had to call me today, ( i went into the office this am to catch up) because he was running a high fever. We has been holding his ears so I worried even though he has had his tubes since February. Elliot and Caleb left to go fishing since Caleb's game was cancelled due to the mid day awful storm we had today, so Cannon Ty and I are kicking it at home tonight. I am hoping he starts to feel better tomorrow and Caleb will have his last game Sunday afternoon.
Update: Caleb's All-Star tryouts
We may find something out late Sunday afternoon...last night Caleb was asked to play up with the 8 year old to help out a team (the coach of the team is the 7 yr old all-star coach) and he played great. He hit the ball each time at bat and backed up 2 plays!! Caleb is still hoping to play with the all-stars, so keep him in your prayers!

Kirk and Leslie Wedding!!!

This weekend we went to El Dorado for a friend of ours from high school wedding. Kirk and Leslie had a beautiful wedding and reception, they even had a choreographed first dance a lil mix of Brad Paisley and Michael Jackson. Who would of thought that for Kirk????No surprises huh?? No, but it was great everyone had such a wonderful time and the church was beautiful and packed.

Elliot and I were able to catch up with old friends and see anyone who is someone in El Dorado-yes, one of those type of functions.

Caleb, Cannon Ty and I went down Friday night after Caleb's 7:30 game, we got to El Do at midnight. Elliot went to the rehearsal and swim party by himself but I am thankful for Kendal and Jeremy who joined as the third wheel. Thank you Hursts'!!

Saturday all the boys played golf and the little men and I hung out with my parents and had some wonderful Chinese food! It was great!

Kendal and I went as each others date to the wedding and I might add she was a great date! We had a fun time together all evening. She is a great dance partner also!!! I am really excited about getting to know Kendal better, she and Jeremy live less than 5 minutes away so I am super pumped about hanging out with her more.

I didn't take very many pictures due to my mom camera-a big one...and I was carrying a clutch. Oh, and quick shout out to Autumn- The outfit was great and I felt like one hot momma!! I have one picture of Kirk and Leslie which is kinda of blurry, but I will post anyway! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and have a great work week!!!

I had to post this picture of Elliot and I-thanks Kendal for taking the picture. We never get pics together since we usually just take ones of the kids. I love the picture and def will be printing this one off.

Beaux Lightning... Our 3rd Child

Our family is pleased to announce that we have added a family member... Beaux Lightning Jacobs. Beaux came to live with us about two weeks ago after one of Elliot's assistant coaches found him near her house and her husband is allergic to dogs so adopted him. So, now I live in a house with four boys aka "MEN."
We have taken him to the vet who is one of our friends and they are not sure exactly
what type of dog Beaux is, ( we are open to suggestions) but we were able to find out that he is about 9 -10 weeks and he is such a sweet dog. We are in the process of kennel training him and he seems to be doing great. He loves to be outside and he will sleep all day long if everyone (Caleb and Cannon Ty) will leave him alone. Cannon really seems to enjoy him , he pats his leg to get him to come to him , shares toys, and loves to chase him around the house. Beaux always attacks Cannon Ty by liking his face and toes, Cannon Ty just giggles, too cute.
Caleb and Beaux seem to be best buddies already too. Caleb plays outside with him all the time and Caleb gets sensitive when Beaux is in trouble. We have taken Beaux to almost all of Caleb's game since we have had him and I am sure Beaux dreads it due to all the children at the ball field swarming him.
We are really thankful that we could take Beaux and give him a home with kids and lots of love. Elliot is the softy when it comes to anything so of course Elliot is spoiling him more than anyone also. Beaux is so great with the boys and I know the boys are great for him also.
This weekend we are heading to El Dorado for Kirk and Leslie's wedding. I am excited about seeing old friends and catching up. Elliot is an usher so another friend of ours Jeremy is in the wedding also so his wife, Kendal and I are going to the wedding with each other, a great date I might add. Autumn came over last night and helped me figure out an outfit, lord help me. I just want comfort , but she always sets me straight.
My parents will be keeping the boys so Elliot and I will have a great night with friends, drinks and catching up.

Crazy Lady!!!

This week I feel like the picture above and yes I know today is only Monday!!!
First of all, I can not believe today in the 1st of June, where did the year go already? Okay, any takers????
Monday-today Caleb started tutoring for the summer with a wonderful teacher Mrs. Erikson. He really seemed to like her and she feels like we can really make some substantial progress this summer!! YES!!! After tutoring was over we ran through Sonic and then headed to the ball field. Tonight's game was a tough one but guess who won??? GRENIER!!!! We won and the boys played awesome and the game ended after 9:00 pm!!! We worked on tutoring homework, showers and a snack and the boys are now in bed. And, yes it is only Monday.
We will have tutoring again on Wednesday and batting practicing. We are heading to El Dorado this weekend for a friend of ours from high school, Kirk's wedding. Elliot is an usher so he is heading down Friday morning and the boys and I will leave after Caleb's Friday night game at 7:30 pm. It shall be a fun drive to El Dorado arriving sometime after midnight I am sure.
In the meantime I need to figure out what I am wearing... I would love to look too cute! Sure I will be honest!!! I am heading to a wedding where all of our high school friends will be in attendance and I am the only one who has had two kids!!! Ewwwww! It shall be fun!
Lastly, we will head back on Sunday early for Caleb to try out for All-Stars!!!
Ewww! I can say, "One wild week and weekend!"
Also, everyone please say a prayer for Ashley, Chad and Avery tomorrow-blogger friends- she is going in tomorrow to be induced. We are so ready to see pictures of the little Diva!
