Southern Comfort

Aww... warm weather in March, shrimp shrimp and more shrimp and over 20 family members in a 3 black radius... Now that's southern comfort to me!!

The kids and I are enjoying our spring break in Alabama. This is state is just wonderful to me and my soul. So relaxing... I am still working on Chief to find a job here!!! Ha!

Yesterday we enjoyed the 90 degree weather on a slip n slid! Yes a ole slip n slid!! Cannon was naked as a jay bird and KK had a great time racing him!

Cannon and Addie have been tearing it up.. Cannon was j. Bed by 7:30 last night and didn't wake up till 8 this morning!







KK's fun week hasn't started yet... Just let me say he and I both might pass out from excitement!!!!

Oh my it's Wednesday gosh this week is flying by!

Last night KK had his spring concert-Proud to be an American

Chief had a double header so our "3rd grandma" Deb Deb ( chief coached softball with her last year and her kids are grown and she doesn't have grand babies yet) met us for dinner @ McDonalds and then we headed off to the concert!! She was a huge help last night and if she had not of gone with me I would of had some major sweating issues!

Deb Deb did attempt to carry Little Miss in her car seat and about died bc of how heavy it was! She almost fell off the curb at Mickey D's trying to carry it! Needless to say her and I both got a huge laugh at that!

Kinda of off subject but not really... This woman, Deb Deb, is so sweet and loving to the kids and Chief and I it is so amazing. Any time that she spends with us is just precious and I thank the lord each day for his plan for Chief and having him coach softball last year (he had never done it and only to do it one year) because of the relationship it gave us and our children. Being a mom is sometimes very trying and I think we also tend to not give ourselves enough credit... Yet every time I see this amazing woman she takes the time to tell me what a great mother I am to my children and how she is amazed at the sacrifices I give for my children and Chief's job. Last night as I was lying in bed I was thinking about it and it brought tears to my eyes and finally brought acceptance to myself that I am doing a good job at being a "mom." I don't mean this boastfully at all but somedays I feel like oh I am just a mom and how can i ever be that awesome

Thank you DebDeb I truly know why the Lord has blessed our family with you!

Hello Sunshine... Wait

Happy Monday... Can you sense the sarcasm??? Rain and a time change???

No, I really am happy today knowing this is the week that the kids and I will depart for the great state of Alabama but gosh I am not feeling the need to tackle the house first!!! I hope someone else is like this... Not wanting to do house work when you stay at home full time ...

Anywho... Last week I went to two consignment sales... If you know me I do not pay full price for clothes or shoes... No way!!! I will not do it!
So, I went in all hopes of fining a new wagon (well not brand new) I am wanting a new Radio Flyer wagon that is plastic with the seat belts and cup holders! Well, no luck on the wagon but I did mange to stock up on some awesome clothes... I spent $110 for 20 items. Oh, and all name brand like Ralph Lauren, puddle jumpers, moo shu trainers, kellys kids and gymboree. A took a few pictures but some items I am already washing. I felt like I hit ye jackpot on Polo items... Miss Camdyn got 6 (some still with the Dillards tags attached) polo dresses, Cannon got 3 polo shirts and I was actually able to find 2 brand new with tags Polo shirts for Caleb! I think the biggest steal was the shoes for Camdyn... A pair of Puddle Jumpers which retails for 35 and up at least for 6 bucks, brand new pair of Keds t straps for 4 bucks and a brand new pair of moo shu trainers ( around 40 dollars retail) 8 bucks!!! Love love and love!!! I told Chief that I felt like I stole the items!!!








Today I am keeping an extra little one my friend Jenn's daughter Jenna! Her mother in law is sick so Cannon has a friend today!!! Also, Camdyn will not nap she is crying it out right now in her crib and I do not like it one bit!

Also, the time change kicked our tail today!!! We all over slept Chiefs iPhone went back to old time so the boys were tardy for school! Oops!!!

Our friends Ryan and Sarah tomorrow night-which doesn't even start till 9 PM???? Yes, I will be passed out on the table by 10 from sleepiness not something else!!! Oh, Cannon has strep and caleb is just getting over the stomach flu! I spent hours at Children's after hours clinic last night because our reg ped would not work him in!! Lovely!! Happy Friday!!!

Location:Move it or Lose it Sista!

Today the rain really has me in a funky mood and my thoughts are seriously all over the place!!
1. Last night while Chief was at a baseball game (imagine that huh?) unknown to me a shaken can of Sprite is handed to me by my sweet little 2 year old. Not thinking anything about it ans trying to load the dryer I open the can of Sprite and the next thing I know... Sprite is shooting up my nose, my new Toms are soaked and Sprite is dripping from the ceiling all the while Cannon Ty yells, " we got her KK!" and then laughter erupts from KK and Cannon... Just lovely!! Really!!

2. I am leaving for my favorite town in just 10 days!!! Whoo hooo! The kids and I are headed to Bama baby!!! Roll Tide!!!

3. Still contemplating my little sewing adventure/business .... Tres Designs or FlapJacs gosh decisions

4. Trying to find Easter outfits for the kids is really irritating me... I want to coordinate but not tooo much!

5. The RHWofOC has me undecided so far... Gretchen is really on my last nerves and I am loving Vicki... I wish Lynn was still on!

6. We have some major decisions coming up soon and I sooo don't like it!! Proverbs 3:5 all day everyday!!

7. Lastly, great news is that we will be at the beach this summer for 10 days!!! big LOVE!!!

Oh, and miss thang is pulling up on everything and crawling everywhere.... NO!!! She is my baby!!! Also, check out the hair she woke up from her nap!!!

Boogie Nights

This past Saturday night was a first in the Jacobs' house....KK went Out to eat with his friends at a Mexican restaurant and went to his school dance!!! Yes, pick yourself up off the floor and then continue reading! Ha! A school dance what ? Seriously? Yes, KK is in 3rd grade and no I couldn't believe it either.

A few of the mommas that have girls set up for everyone to go eat before (can you tell I have a funny feeling about these girls..ha) it was too cute though. The boys all sat on one side of the table and the girls sat on the other and they all played with their phones or itouch's the entire time! Ha!

KK said he had a great time and that he was sweet to his little girlfriend while maintaining hanging with his friends haha!
I was informed when I went to pick him up he was in the "dance off," and it seemed he got his moves from his momma and I told them quickly... " I am sure they came from Dance Central on the Xbox Kinect!" ha!
